The town of Donnington is actually located in the Parish of St. Mary. It is an extremely rural area, so much so, that it is rare to find it on a map. However, in April 2010, a poultry project had been established by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), for the Donnington Primary School, and is currently being operated by students who are members of the Donnington Primary School 4-H Club.* The objectives of the project were to encourage a greater appreciation for locally produced food and the extension of the school’s income earning capabilities; as well as, to expose the students of Donnington to the discipline required to operate such a project, thereby preparing them to become responsible citizens. *frm:jis.gov.jm/news
